FRIEND-ster

In spite being a busy bee today and because Facebook and all other social networking sites were blocked, my officemates and I found an old friend... (drum rolls and curtains down please..)

haha, old friend it's been a while

tada! As I entangled the spider webs from my friendster account, I was able to at least change my profile pic, update my status ( ahem) and well, familiarize myself again to the nitty -gritty of Friendster ( crap, had a hard time finding that button to change my profile pic).

 Nope, I have no plans of really really going back. But here is an open letter to you Friendster :

Dear Friendster,

In fairness, na miss kita ^^ Huwag kang mag-alala, nasa puso at isipan ko pa din naman ang masasayang araw natin. Tandang -tanda ko pa noong una tayong magkita, ibinigay ko pa lahat ng impormasyong kailangan mo ng mas makilala mo ako. Isa ka sa mga nagdala sa akin sa mundo ng internet, tila ba ang kasikatan  mo noon ay walang katapusan. Ikaw ang dahilan para makita ko ulit ang mga kaibigan kong akala ko'y nalimot na ako. Ikaw ang nagbigay daan na mailathala ko ang mga magagandang larawan at malulufet na testimonials ( minsan lang nakairita yung iba na pinipilit akong pasulatin ng labag sa kalooban ko). Laking pasasalamat ko din dahil kung hindi sayo ay patuloy akong mabubulag sa nakaraan, hindi ka talaga marunong magtago ng sekreto, buti na lang dahil diyan ay nabigyang liwanag ako sa aking kabaliwan.

Dumaan ang mga araw, buwan at taon. Nakakalungkot man ay nakilala ko si Facebook. Naaliw ako sa kanya, masakit mang aminin ay "he's way better than you", mas dumali ang buhay ko, mas naging masaya ako sa piling nya. Hindi ko na namalayan na tuluyan na pala kitang inabandona sa kalawakan ng internet. Kung ikaw ang naghatid  sa akin ng katotohanan noong 2008, kundi hindi dahil sa kanya ay  hindi ko naman  makikilala ang aking bagong liwanag.

Ikaw ang una kong minahal, but I need to move on. Huwag kang mag-alala paminsan-minsan ay bibisitahin pa din kita, kahit paano'y may mga old school pa din akong kaibigang ayaw yakapin ang pagbabago at na-stuck na sayo. Kapit ka lang, may target market ka pa din naman lalo na ang mga nagkalat na jejemons kong kaibigan.

Salamat kaibigan, hindi kita makakalimutan :)

Oh well, not really in my priority list as of the moment but will surely welcome with open arms any good hearted human being who would like to give me one. hahaha

always a wedding host, sometimes a bridesmaid but not yet the never mind ^^

waistline : ??, hips ?? arrgghh never mind..it's not too late to go on diet :P 

This is a milestone! It will just be my second time being part of a friend's wedding entourage! hahaha... oh well, not that I dream of having 27 dresses just like in Katherine Heigl's movie but this is because my wedding couple slash friends prefer me to focus on my job as a wedding host on their big day.

My first participation as bridesmaid/host was last December 19, 2009 ( Love Sandig-Porras wedding). This coming November 20, 2010 ( for my adorable friend Anne Uy - to be Gamboa) - again as a bridesmaid/host ^^ yipee!

It just reminded me how awkward I felt when I walked down the aisle last December, I am not really used of walking and clinging to someone's arm while numerous people are watching (eeeekkk!!!) I would really prefer to host rather than strut, isn't that weird?! hahaha

Oh well, I also told ate ( the dressmaker) that she needs not to worry with my vital stats since I would probably lose weight just in time for the wedding ( kaboooosssshhh!!!!)

Thanks, Anne and Jett, we are all so excited for your wedding day, I should probably tag along a date, don't you think?! :P <- that will yet be another milestone for me! hahaha

I've known Anne since college, she's also one of my fabulous GFs. Si Jett? Honestly I hate him..dati yun :) pero love ko na din sya ngayon kase super love nya si Anne. Check out Jett's  wedding proposa here.

S.A.D.

It's been two days and I feel weary and sleepy most of the time. It's a bit weird that I feel this way now that August is closing. Yesterday, I was a bit dizzy while on my way home then  jumped  right on bed after changing clothes. I promised to give myself a 2 hours power nap before starting with  my  pending tasks. I failed :( I slept from 6:00PM - 4:30 AM!

Today, I thought it will all go away but oh my dear, melatonin and serotonin are creeping in my veins and my eyes ( as if growing its own brainzzz) can't stop closing. I need a happy trigger!!!!!

A BLUEBERRY GIRL

Early this year I stumbled upon this video on You Tube and I instantly fell in love with it.

( Written by Neil Gaiman for his friend Tori who was about to become the mother of a little girl and also an amazing illustration from Charles Vess) 

This morning ( and i mean very early) Luna and I had the privileged to hear the narration from my amore ^^  A wonderful bedtime story for a blueberry girl. Thank you, I will surely keep this in my heart.

I just used a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now

The salty substance running down my face pulled me back down on earth.

I can’t believe my tear ducts let loose of those tears. My knees folded and I sat down for a while scrutinizing what just happened. After I pulled myself together in a matter of seconds and in between sobs I ran to the castle’s porch looking for that shadow one last time before sunup. I beamed a smile and waved my hands to signal my gratitude.  Left with the gleaming stars, I snuffled and let those remaining tears gush down leaving watermarks on my blue pants.

I am really crying!

What I am feeling at that exact moment can never be compared to what I have experienced in the past. This is totally brand new, fresh and unfamiliar.  Another “time capsule” event I will cherish for the rest of my life.

As the sun starts to smile and before I close my eyes, I whispered a note of thanks to God.

A lovely treasure found ^^ Michelle Shaprow’s music. It invigorates my senses, I would love to have her complete album! Four of my faves :

1. Back Down to Earth - it clearly spoke of the things I simply wanna do today
2. Floating on the Moon - whimsical
3. Ferris Wheel-  I’ll plug my ipod with this song playing when I get the chance to ride a ferris wheel :)
4. Always Belong to You  - it’s for you my gravity

and there’s a lot more i guess, these singles were released last July 2010. I’m just getting frustrated ( lately with a lot of stuff) and  ’coz I can’t find any lyrics yet T_T . Oh well, Michelle Shaprow, welcome and get ready to color my world!

A Beautiful Tunnel

It is a common notion that most tunnels signify entrapment or imprisonment.  It may also suggest predicament that needs some enlightenment ( weird how I used words with "ment" LOL). In simple analogy a tunnel may mean, to most people, an adversity. Maybe that is why they usually say “there’s a light at the end of the tunnel”. 

But there is this unique tunnel I have discovered recently, a tunnel very near my abode. It used to be plain, dull and lifeless but just like spring it transformed into a haven.  Every morning a smile automatically emits from my lips every time I pass through it. Sometimes I would stop and lean on the tunnel’s wall, close my eyes for a few seconds and linger my fingers into the cold paint and feel the good aura it emanates. Something marvelous might have happened here; as if a good soul was left behind, I could even hear the heartbeats at times.

Ah yes! A beautiful and crazy tunnel, peculiarly I don’t wanna see the light at the end of it but stay just right there in the middle of the darkness and perhaps melt away or burst into small particles so I can infiltrate every memory it has witnessed.

RUN WITH CHARISMA RACE GUIDELINES


PRE-RACE CHECK-IN
• Distribution of unclaimed race kits will be on August 15, 2010 from 5:00-5:30 am only. Otherwise, please refer to “Meet Ups” schedule to secure race kits before event date.
• Assembly time is 6:00 am
• Have your race bib number marked by any of the race marshals as proof that you started at the starting line
• After marking, do not leave the starting area

BAG DEPOSITORY
Please refrain from leaving cash and other valuables inside your bags. A bag depository will be available at the assembly area. Only one bag will be accepted per participant.

RACE BIB NUMBER
• Race bib number is non-transferable
• Your race bib number must be placed visibly in front of your shirt

LOOP CORD
• Loop cords will be given along the route to ensure that you ran the correct route
• Failure to secure the required loop cords will disqualify you from finishing the race

WATER/ AID STATIONS
• Water will be provided along the route and at the finish line
• Please dispose cups properly
• Medical teams will be present along the race route and at the finish area
• Do not hesitate to approach the medical team if ever you feel the need to be attended to

FINISH LINE
• Separate chutes will be provided for each category
• Please proceed to your designated chute as you approach the finish line

OFFICIAL RESULTS
• Official results will only be available for the first few runners who finish the race
• A special prize will be given to the top 2 finishers per race category
